9-11

Today is a very emotional day for my family.  As the world was watching what was happening in New York, my family was dealing with our own tragedy, a unexpected death in our family unrelated to the horror of the World Trade Center.  As I reflect on that day, I remember the dark sadness that loomed over that day.  The fear of raising my kids in a world where, not only is there sadness of loosing those you love, but also terror that now had reached our shores.  In the days following 9-11 I watched a country band together, and I also saw the strength of my family come together and love each other in the wake of Dale's death.  Today, I am so thankful to be a part of the most amazing family and also a citizen of the most amazing country!  We have many veterans in our family and some still serving. I am so thankful for their sacrifice each day to keep my family and yours protected!  So today, I will bow my head in prayer for those that lost their lives in the World Trade Center, those that lost their lives protecting our country, and those our family has lost over the last several years.  You are all respected and missed so very much!  I will also hold my head high because I AM AN AMERICAN and I am proud to be a part of this great nation.
