Sessions and PASS

Hi all, hope you are all enjoying your summer!!!  I know I am!!!  I love the lazy days of summer, sleeping in, and no kid activities that require me to drive a million miles around town!  I am super excited to be taking a much needed vacation in the next week and see some amazingly beautiful scenery!!!!  Stay tuned for some pictures!!!


I am really excited to announce a new way to order prints from me!  I am still going to be selling digital images at the same pricing point that I currently have, but in addition to that, I am offering prints from a printer that I love for a amazing price!!! 

Your gallery of images will now be sent to you via PASS.  This is an awesome way to view and share your images with all of your family and friends, post on Facebook or your favorite social media, and pin onto Pinterest!  You will still be able to download your selected images full size to your computer BUT in addition to that, you will be able to order direct from my printer!  The quality of the prints are SUPERB and the service is impeccable!  Your images will be shipped direct to your doorstep!!!!  SO SO SO EASY!!! 

I would love to have you try it out, so if you are interested, please shoot me off a text or email and I will upload your recent gallery onto PASS for you to order!!!

I have had several inquiries about sessions, especially senior sessions for 2014.  If 2014 is anything like 2013, I am likely to book up fast.....PLEASE DON'T WAIT TO BOOK YOUR SESSIONS!!!  If you know you have a senior, book a date now!!  If you are going to want a family portrait in the fall, book a date now!  I want to make sure I have a date for you!!!!!

One year ago, an amazing person came into my life!  Her sweet, angelic personality has always lifted my spirits when I see her!!!!

 

And I can't believe she is one today!  It seems like yesterday when she entered the world.  It was one of the most amazing and awe inspiring days of my life!  To be able to witness the beauty of this precious baby enter the world, was one of the most precious gifts I have ever received!!!

 

I have watched her grow each month!  From learning to sit up, to walking, each month has been such a joy!

And today this little beauty turns ONE!!!  Happy birthday my sweet beauty!  It has been such an honor watching you grow!  I love you so much!!!!!

 

My Best Friend and Me Mini Sessions

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved dolls!  They were magical to me.  I would play with my dolls just like the were my own children!  I would care for them, play with them, talk to them, and my dolls were my very best friends!!!

Recently, my youngest daughter asked for a special doll of her own.  So for her 10th birthday, we went to the doll store and purchased one for her!  I think I may have been more excited than she was!  Walking around that store reminded me of all the amazing times I created with my very best friend! 

I wanted to capture this special time in her life, because I know that it will be just a few short years, and her doll will be tucked away with many other memories I will save for her until she is an adult! 

And I want to capture this time for your child too!  Whether it is her favorite doll, or his favorite truck, it is important to capture these moments before they out grow their favorite toy!

Celebrate you!

I have spent a lot of years being the one behind the camera in my family.  I love to take photos, whether it be of my family, kids, nature, or anything in between, I have always had the camera in hand.  So I can imagine, like most of you reading this, that there are not as many pictures of me at our family events.  I also don't have the best self image of myself, so it is REALLY easy to say, 'oh, I'll take the picture'.  But recently, I got to thinking more outside myself and my insecurities.  I started thinking about when I am gone and my kids are looking through the millions of photos of their childhood, how few pictures there will be of me.  So as uncomfortable as it is, I am starting to hand the camera to others and get a photo taken of myself at our events. 

And that is where I came up with my Celebrate You promotion.  I know we all want to change things about ourselves, but I think it is super important to love who you are today and embrace all the amazing things that make up YOU!  Step out from behind the camera and have some beautiful pictures of YOU hanging on your walls right next to the hundreds of kids pictures in your home.

California Cold

My friends back east are being hit with some major snow and wind, so I feel a little silly even typing this post, but I am going to, because in California, three days of 'weather conditions' are something to post about and most certainly photograph.  This morning I was on my way to take my daughter to practice, and my car was covered in ice....the kind of ice that I had to TUG on my car door to get it open.  We had a good laugh about not being able to get our doors open, then I had to run in the house to get my camera.  Lesson in all this, take my camera with me no matter what everywhere I go and leave an extra 5 minutes to our travel time for de-icing the car. 
I do hope all my friends back east stay warm, and like I have said before, come to Cali if you need a break from the cold and snow!!!!!
